Rithvik Raja is a leading young musician of Carnatic Music in India today.Trained under the guidance of Sri TM Krishna he has blossomed into a fine young musician. With a uniquely endowed voice, his straight forward approach and sincerity reflect in his performances which are showcased with faithful bhava laden rendering of Kirtanas punctuated with spontaneous improvisation. His first public performance was at the age of 12. Having participated and won many competitions held by the Sabhas, he was given an opportunity to sing during the December Season in 2005. He has steadily grown as a musician of repute over the years and performed over 20 concerts during the 2012 December Season. Rithvik has performed extensively in all the leading sabhas across India. Apart from India, he has also performed in many foreign countries and won accolades of the rasikas, critics and connoisseurs. He is a graded artiste of the AIR (All India Radio) and has performed in many television channels. He presently heads the YACM (Youth Association for Classical Music). Rithvik Raja has won many awards includingYuvakalabharathi by Bharat Kalachar in Chennai He has also conducted a number of workshops. Rithvik Raja has performed extensively across India and abroad.
Tanjore K. Praveen Kumar – Mridangam Percussion He is the Grandson of Tanjore Sri Upendran and the Great grandson of Valangaiman Sri Shanmugasundaram Pillai. He started learning the art of percussion at the age of “5”, from Nellai Sri A. Balaji and is currently under the tutelage of Mridangam Maestro Sri Guruvayur Dorai for the past 13 years. He has won several awards from various prestigious institutions, to name a few, “Spirit of youth” award from the Music Academy Madras, “Yuvakala Bharathi” From Bharath Kalachar, ”Palghat Mani Iyer Endowment award” and “Palani Subramania Pillai Endowment award” from Sri Krishna Ghana Sabha. “Best Performer Award from Parthasarathy Swami Sabha. “Best Junior Mridangist” from Vani Mahal. He has also had the privilege of accompanying Sri T.M.Krishna and many other leading artistes for many of his concerts. He has travelled wide across the world and performed all over the globe to critical acclaim and is a versatile and a multi-faceted artiste. He holds a Bachelors degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
M. Rajeev – Violinist He started learning to play the violin at the age of “4”, and is currently under the tutelage of Violin Maestro Kum. A. Kanyakumari for the past 12 years. He has won several awards from various prestigious institutions, to name a few, “CCERT Scholorship from the Government of India”, “Spirit of Youth” Award from the Music Academy, “Youth Excellence Award” from the Rotary Club of Chennai (Mount), “Parur Endowment Award” and “Lalgudi Gopala Iyer Endowment Award” from Sri Krishna Gana Sabha” and “The Best Violinist and Best Concert” awards from The Music Academy and so on. Apart from having played in a number of duet programs with his guru Smt. A. Kanyakumari, he has also had the privilege of accompanying the likes of Sri T.V. Sankaranarayanan, Dr. N. Ramani, Malladi Brothers, Vijay Siva, T.M. Krishna, Bombay Jayashri, Nithyashri Mahadevan, Ranjani Gayathri etc. and many other leading artistes for many of his concerts. He has travelled wide across the world and performed all over the globe on many tours across Europe, The United States, Singapore etc. and ahs won accolades from all corners. He is also an ‘A’ Graded artiste of the AIR (All India Radio). He holds a Bachelors degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
